It was a tragic moment and a stark warning to all the chaokeng gods out at large in the SAF.

On 14 May 2019, PTE R.S Ong was arrested at JEWEL when 2nd LTE C. K Wang who was on vacation leave, spotted him playing in the Pokémon Centre. Unfortunately for PTE R.S Ong, 2nd LTE Wang is his platoon commander, and he immediately dispatched 3 guards from the nearest camp to quickly apprehend PTE Ong.

When interviewed for his capture of the scrupulous fellow, 2nd LTE Wang said, "this f*cker ah, I'm sure he always chaokeng one, but whenever u surprise check his house he always at home deh. Last week he booked in with his arm in a cast, but when I saw him at the Pokémon place he smashing the buttons on the arcade machine leh, cb arm cast also gone liao, at that moment I insta know he chaokeng, oh yeah he's not even supposed to be here."

CPT Tan (Ong's OC) stated that Ong was charged for lying about his medical condition of repeated instances of cardiac arrest as well as stealing the identity of his 78 year old grandfather to receive fake medical certificates from hospitals. A stash of onions were also found in his locker which were meant to be used for an emergency fever. He had 68 cases of diarrhea but the 3 empty bottles of laxatives under his bed were believed to be the cause, not because of actual illnesses. However, he has always been under the radar due to how genuine his acting was, and the fact that he was always at home when there was a visit there by a commander.

By inspecting all the CCTV recordings across Singapore for the entirety of 2018 to 2019, PTE R. S Ong was found guilty of 158 counts of malingering, 57 counts of forgering medical documents, 36 counts of identity theft and 2 counts of sexual assault.

On the 5th of July during his trial, the Military Court has deemed Ong's case of chaokeng to be too severe to be punished with a simple sentence to the detention barracks. Therefore he will be sentenced to death by live firing with no bail, scheduled at 8th of February 2021. He will be strapped to one of the 100m targets during BTP as a bonus for the top marksman during the 2021 January batch.

When PTE Ong's parents were informed of the sentencing, despite the loss of their only son, agreed that this is the fairest sentencing possible. They admitted that they felt a tinge of shame after their son's heinous actions were exposed.

Let this be a warning and lesson to all chaokeng warriors and potential chaokengers, for malingering is a crime on par with first degree murder in terms of severity. PTE Ong's demise will serve as a harsh reminder that nothing is truly not under the scrutiny of the mighty SAF.
